Today we're going to be adding the feet and toes to our Golden Lion Tamarins.
Take one of the foot shapes and line it up with the bottom edge of the body.
Just like everything so far, I'm using the double running stitch but feel free to use the back stick if you prefer.
When you sew the feet, don't sew the edge that lines up with the very bottom of the body. We'll be sewing that down later. You'll want to repeat this and the previous steps for both feet.
Now we are going to give the monkey toes. This is just like how we made the nostrils on the face. Start from the back of the body to hide the knot and make an angled stitch. This is the first toe.
Now make a second angled stitch. Make this lower and a little shorter than the previous one.
You will want to leave a little space from the end of of the toe stitches to the edge of the foot, about 1/8 inch. If you want thicker toe lines, you can got over your stitches a second time. Repeat the toes steps on the 2nd foot.
Next we'll be talking about sewing the tail. The tail will be the first piece we sew that has to look nice from both the front and the back.
