Enough from me! Ready to meet Lauren from Mohu?
Who are you? and where can we find your amazing work?

I'm Lauren, the creator of Mohu. I like to make all sorts of cute things, which you can see in my shop , or on my blog.

How did you get started doing this thing you do?

It started off as a hobby while I was studying music. I'd been making a lot of random things, and began selling them just for fun. After I graduated, we emigrated from South Africa to Canada, and I decided to work on Mohu as a proper business.

What's your workplace like?

I have two desks - one for my computer and one for making things. I try to keep my making-desk clear, but there's usually a pile of papers, wool, and small animals instead.

What materials and tools do you use to make your art?

Experimenting with different materials and tools is one of my favourite things! I use wool and a crochet hook the most, and watercolour paints and paper are a very close second.

Where do you find your inspiration too create?

My inspiration comes from almost anywhere: food, plants, animals, and things that I think are cute. I usually have so many ideas that I don't have time to make them all.

That takes care of our serious questions! Now time for some silly ones!

What color are your bedroom walls?

Right now they're beige or something. When I have my own house I'll make them dark red, or maybe black with white details.

What animal do you fear?

Worms give me nightmares.

What kind of pet person are you?

I am a pug and bearded dragon person.

Jeans, Khakis, or skirts?

Mostly pyjamas, and jeans if I need to leave the house.

If you could live in a fictional world, which one would it be?

I'd live in Wonderland, with Alice, or inside a Polly Pocket.

Sock, sock, shoe shoe or sock, shoe, sock shoe?
Sock, sock, shoe, shoe. Otherwise one foot gets cold while I'm busy.
