A Manatee and a Monster

Busy week last week of re-doing almost all the photos in the shop. There are a few photos left that need to be updated like the Reindeer Support Team, who aren't currently up in the shop. Also the 80's cats. Since they are so much bigger than the ornaments, one piece of paper doesn't work for a backdrop so I need to edit out the ugly lines where the papers overlap.
I hope everyone enjoys the new shop look as much as I do!  The colors and patterns are so much more fun than the white backgrounds and I feel fun is a good fit for the Squshies. The colored backgrounds also seem to help the felt colors photograph more accurately.
Now on to the newest Squshies!

Penelope the Manatee.
Penelope is a bit of a hypochondriac. Actually make that extreme hypochondriac. Her friends have had to convince her that she didn't have lyme disease. Ticks don't live in the ocean. She definitely didn't have hypothermia that one time considering she's never lived anywhere where the water was less than 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis (really?!?) , when was the last time she was breathing volcanic ash.
She has lately been convinced she has contracted lycanthropy and refuses to come out of her house during the full moon. Her friends have tried to point out that if she really turned in to a wolf during a full moon she wouldn't be able survive under water. Unfortunately logic doesn't work to well on Penelope when caught up in her latest symptoms.

We've also got a new addition to the felt monster collection! Meet Thelonius K. Beholder the Third!
Thelonius K. Beholder the Third is the most distinguished gentleman in the subterranean depths. The trouble is that he has such ill mannered house guests. The adventurers, explorers and other monsters that he invites to tea invariably become terrified or hostile and Thelonius often loses his temper and disintegrates them. It is it so much to ask that guests behave with the proper decorum?
Thelonius has made every effort to make his parlor inviting to guests and behaves with the utmost courtesy, aside from the disintegration. He has even tried to make his own appearance as distinguished and non threatening as possible. Unfortunately the monocle would fall out at awkward moments and with no neck an ascot was out of the question (small ascots for each eye stalk just made him look ridiculous). He is currently searching for the perfect top hat, but has yet to find to millinery that caters to gentleman of his stature.
